New Zealand's premier surfing and snowboarding competition.

Results 2001

Due to the cancellation of the Boardercross event at Coronet Peak on Friday ( both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables closed for the first tiem in the season! ) the results were determined solely by the surfing.

In the womens Jess Terril caught 7 waves showing her smooth fluid surfing style to take first place. Kath Doer from Christchurch placed second with Regi Starinskas from Victoria third.

The mens event was hotly contested with some stunning surfing in the semi finals including wave of the day to Joel Summerlee with a breathtaking ride the length of the point that had competitors hooting and judges maxing out their score sheets.

The Pou brothers were also on fire, but it was Australian Wade Shaw who snagged the best waves during the final and convincingly took the win.
